Locket's Meadow is a farm animal rescue and sanctuary in Bethany, CT. We began saving PMU foals in 2002, rescued from the Premarin industry, and eventually welcomed horses from other slaughter, abuse and neglect situations. Over the years hundreds of horses have passed through our farm on their way to adoptive homes. Some have stayed and become lesson horses in our programs while others are used for therapy, both mounted and on the ground. Some are unable to work and we offer them retirement, and give the equivalent of Hospice care when the time comes. All are loved as members of our family, as are all the other animals on our farm, from pigs and sheep to goats and roosters. And even cows and alpacas!

Locket’s Meadow is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Donations can be made through our Paypal account (type in locketsmeadowfarm@yahoo.com) or by mail at 771 Litchfield Turnpike, Bethany, CT 06524

Along with birthday parties, Lockets Meadow also offers several other fun and exciting things like...

  • Scheduled farm tours

  • Our very own homemade pasta sauces

  • Children's books written about the animals that reside here

  • Lockets Meadow Apparel

  • Therapeutic riding program

  • Lessons

  • Farm fundraisers

  • Summer camp

Lockets Meadow Farm is home to roughly fifty horses. Fifteen of them are used for pony parties and to keep our horses healthy and happy, they are constantly rotated so they are not doing more than one party each every few weeks. The horses used for our pony party program are also used in our lesson and therapy programs as well - including our resident gentle giant, Earnestly.
